Is my score good enough for top universities?

Hi! I made a 630 on the paper-based TOEFL and a 30 on the ACT, to go along with 2250 SAT II total. I'm applying as an international first-year applicant. Will this be good enough for the Ivies, and other top universities?

You seem qualified enough to figure this out yourself;)

Where are you from?

I’d suggest you take the TOEFL iBT b/c I think it is a better indicator of an international student’s communication skills in academic contexts than the paper-based version. By the way, have you taken the SAT Reasoning?

I’m not wasting anymore money on TOEFL :). And I chose the ACT over the SAT, which is perfectly fine.

Astro, where are you from?
That will have an impact on whether your scores are good enough or not.

^he lives in NC, USA.

The OP’s SATs are fine, but then, if you’re applying for financial aid at top schools that are not need-blind for us, I’d say you’ll need a lot more than 2250 to cut it (that is, lotsa good ECs, good essays, etc etc)

Kowloon, I meant nationality of course :)

I’m an Indonesian. :)

^ouch, but not as bad as being a chinese, korean, or indian

Is this a bad thing or what?

hey i am an indian
and my SAT I scores are around 2300.

being an Indonesian wont hurt your chances that much.

I don’t know about a 30 ACT. SAT subject scores are nothing exceptional.

Also, no university makes admission decisions based on your TOEFL. Its considered only after you get your acceptance letter. No one can predict you chances for ivy leagues based on the info you have provided.

Thanks anyway. Most of my applications are already submitted. :)

Kowloon :
what about being a Chinese??? Or korean??? or indian???
they have the largest “applying america army??”
haha …
