I know this must get annoying, but I have a question: Is 1920 a low SAT score?

I know the national average is 1500, which is far below my score, but I've been reading CC posts...and my score seems to be getting worse as I look at more CC information.

I made a 690 cr and 660 w, but a 570 m (I know), which really prevented me from achieving 2000+

I'm not THAT good, people!

Anyway, is 1920 terribly low or am I overreacting?

I live in North Carolina and applied to UNC, which is a top school.

My friend, who made a 1780, got into UNC.

I was just wondering, as various CC users have seriously undermined my SAT score. At my school, I am one of the high scorers, but on here I feel like a complete idiot for that score.
It does, however, make me feel a little better to know that I took the test cold, got little sleep the night before, and did not eat a very good breakfast.

Basically, I just want to know the opinion of other CC users who did not achieve a 2200+

If you notice, colleges do not accept 100% 2400 SAT students. Sure, the chances may be a bit slimmer with a "lower" score, but don't count your chickens before they hatch. Especially with college admissions.

Don't let people tell you "it's impossible with your scores" because it's not. Scores may be the most important factor, but they're not the only factor. Remember, you are above average with a 1920 score. That should tell you something right there.

EDIT: I can't believe I actually wrote "don't count your chickens before they hatch." .___.
