Is my stuff there? Some BAD Signs.

I sent my essays FedEx(My current school payed for it so we can have a tracking number; I would suggest doing that fyi.), and I got an email that they were delivered today(Signed for in the morning, entered in online nearly 9 hours later). I checked my admissions items online... The essays are checked as received. BUT the recommendation stuff I sent nearly 20 days ago isn't in there...
Should I call?

yeah, since its already february. which schools are you applying to?

Andover is the school in question.
HADES(minus Deerfield... and a few more)

(not to brag or anything) but as of earlier today ALL MY APPS TO ALL MY SCHOOLS ARE IN! (yes, nothing to worry about for another month or so...)

Congrats starz! This probably isn't the best thread to post that on though, because a lot of us have missing items that are causing us a lot of stress. The way I see it, if I'm too busy worrying about if they got my apps, I'll spend less time worrying about if I'll get in. :D

Italianboarder:
Definitely call. Or email. They're usually pretty helpful, and perhaps they have received your application, but have not opened it yet. That is what happened to me. If they are sure they don't have it, I guess you'll just have to ask your teachers to send it again. Good luck!!!

I was just making sure that it was an acceptable time to call... I'm not sure if they are drowning in things or if they simply lost it.

yes for sure call then if it's a HADES school. they usually get cleared up with organizing apps around the end of january

Andover has been really nice to me about losing stuff. They lost my recs too...

i sent my application in and i got a postcard that they received it but it hasn't shown up online???????

I think that if you recieved something that is semi-handwritten (i.e. postcard), then they must have all your materials, but have probably not had a chance of posting it online yet. Agreed?

I PM'd you :)

The word is spelled PAID. I looked up payed to see why so many posters, both here and on the college boards use it. There is a verb "pay" which has a past tense payed, which means to seal up, as in the deck of a ship. When you are speaking of money, the past tense is paid. I guess I have, over my lifetime, PAID so much of it, that I will never forget how to spell this word.

P.S. Call about missing items, yes, yes, yes.

amen to that.

Same here. I've sent all of personal statements and the recs about two weeks ago, but they were labeled as "miss" items on the myandover document tracking list. Finally, they put them up today! However, the "status date" said that the documents were received on 2/4/09. I hope that doesn't mean that my stuff are "late" since they would then be reviewed AFTER the regular decisions are made... Italianboarder, check your myandover account again. They might have updated them today.

no, they did the same thing to me, i believe your stuff is still on time

okay, good. That makes me less stressed. :) Thank you!
