I am no way ready and my tentative test date is Nov. 1st. I want to push it back a little further but is Nov. 21st too late??

I am taking mine on the 14th. It depends on your deadlines really. Mine are all in January so I am in the clear

I am also taking mine next week and my deadlines are in Jan as well. Just make sure that your deadlines aren't too close since you will need a couple of weeks for your writing scores to be submitted and for ETS to send in your scores to the schools.

For December applications, yes, too late. For January, you'd be cutting it close.

Just don't blow it on Saturday.

I'd call the schools just to confirm.

Some schools will accept self-reported scores before deadline and official scores after. I know that several of my programs will take the November 8 Subject test, for instance, even though the official report may not be in by then, as long as I self-report my results in my application and follow up with official confirmation.

I agree with other posters that it's likely too late, but if you think you need the extra time, I'd call and ask your programs just how late they can receive the scores.

Dear all, can anybody give me a piece of advice. The deadline in my school is 15th January and it is said that uncompleted applications will not be considered after deadline. But the closest date for taking GRE general in my area is December 16th!! It is four weeks though. So my question is, do my GRE scores have chance to get there in time? Wish I checked their web site earlier!

So if anybody can answer my question please! It is written on their oficial web site that they will send my scores to score recipients within 10 to 15 days after I take the test. I assume that my university will get my scores in 3 weeks after I take the test. Am I correct in my thinking? I mailed once my TOEFL scores to the school and they receive it exactly in 3 weeks after my test date. If anybody knows is it the same with gre scores?

my GRE scores showed up to my house in 2 weeks when I took it earlier this month.

Hi Helen,

My guess is that most of us know only what you know already: namely, what the website says. If you want additional confirmation, you might call ETS or the schools. Ask ETS if the 10-15 day window is guaranteed, and then tell your schools that you expect the scores to arrive on time, based on ETS' information, but that you wanted to ask what would happen if there was an unexpected delay because the time is so short.

I imagine that you are going to be just fine, but you might feel better if you talked to real people on the phone to confirm.
