Is NYU Computer Science a joke?

<p>I am a prospective Computer Science Major
I am reading a lot of info on the merger of NYU Poly and NYU CAS.</p>

<p>I know that 2 courses are available for Poly students to take at other departments per semester . So does that mean out of average 4 classes per semester we can take 2 CS classes at the Courant Institute of CAS itself after first year?</p>

<p>I am confused here that WHAT EXACTLY WILL THE BENEFIT of taking Computer Science major at CAS instead of Poly when I can take the exact same classes? Isnt that unfair considering Poly financial aid is much better.</p>

<p>Does it actually mean a CAS student who is paying 70k at CAS gets to enroll in same class with Poly student who is paying 40k after generous Poly financial aid ??</p>

<p>IS NYU Making CS at their school a joke?</p>
