i was wondering why NYU cost $52000 per year?

wow even for in-staters?

NYU is private, therefore there is no advantage for instate.

i thought NYU Stern costs 47k.

I am an NYU student, where did you get the figure 52,000? I haven't heard this figure, and there is approximately a 4-5% increase for next year, and the total cost is supposed to be about 46,500. So to answer your question, yes NYU is one of the most expensive schools to attend, I believe George Washington is approximately 50 though.

I dunno, but does it cost 52000 for international students?
Maybe NYU messed up things by mistaking me for an international. T.T

I know its more expensive for international students, so thats possible. Its also possible that it depends on what school you're in, but I know including room and board with CAS tuition its 46 something, and i thought it was the same for other schools.

nyu is up there. i know GW is quite expensive also.

lol nyu is a joke....they charge for a harvard education...who the hell do they think they are? whatta rip off, all for the sake of the location..

BU, NYU ,GW...They're in some of the most expensive cities in the country. Tuition is comparable to other schools of that caliber, but the subway's $3 a ride. Your COL gets factored into your COA when you go there; that's why it's so much.

If you are in-state, you may be able to take advantage of the Regents Scholars program. My dad was offered a free ride to Cornell on that; but his parents wouldn't let him go. So he wound up at CUNY. It was about $150 a semester.
