Is NYU Poly a good engineering research school?

I am an international grad student who got admitted into
1)nyu poly
2)syracuse
3)suny binghamton

I am still waiting to hear from
1)suny buffalo
2)suny stonybrook
my major is industrial engineering

Please could you tell me how is nyu poly in terms of research? i want to later pursue Phd in columbia or cornell , I have heard that the campus is just 16acre and there is no social life but its okay because i am going to stay there only for a couple of years plus i have the whole nyc to explore ,all i really wanted to know is the possibility of getting research opportunities and good reco’s from professors of nyu poly so that it can help me get into phd program from columbia

I think this is best answered by you doing a bit of research. Find the names of the Faculty and see what their research output is.

Can you clarify? Are you picking an undergraduate college right now and you want to know which will help you get into a PhD program in the future?

Brownparent : I have completed my undergrad, I have got admitted into nyu poly’s grad school

Mainly I am confused between buffalo and nyu poly, I have a good chance of getting admitted in suny buffalo but I am favouring nyu because its in nyc
