Is NYU Stern a reach for me?

I'm applying regardless, I would just like to know in what category to put it.

International (Canadian) college sophomore student applying as a transfer.
GPA: 3.7/4.3
Previous transcripts: Average.
SATs: 2250. May retake for higher.
EC: Good. Involved in community.
Essay: Very good I think.
Recommendations: Good.
URM

Might be a bit of a reach. Did you take those SATS in college? They only accept scores from high school.

...

Oh **** me. I took them in college. I was realy aiming for a perfect score. Are you sure about this?

Actually Manny, are you sure?

I checked the NYU undergraduate admissions website (linked from sterns page) and they make no mention of this "only accept scores from high school" business. They simply state that if you did your SATs in high school, theres no need to redo them. Am i missing something?

I probably am interpreting it incorrectly, but that's what it seems to me. Sorry it took me awhile to reply.

Uh.

Maybe its an international student thing. We have to official sources saying two different things. I'll call them tomorrow to get the real answer.

No it's not. I posed a question as well as to why. They weren't too happy.

http://nyu.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/4934033161/m/2631015224

But please call them and make sure. Some of the posts out there on the board are different and very confusing. It seems as if the admission's office doesn't have their sh1t together.

it sounds like theyre saying its not a requirement but I dont know if they dont take them into account. Not to toot my own horn but my score is pretty darn good. (less than 50 pts away from a perfect 2400 :D)

Its basically my best selling point to make up for my GPA....I want it to count dammit =(

Eh...150 points away bud...

what did you say you got on your math portion? ;)

Weakest score.

how can your math portion be your weakest score if you got a 2250 overall?

xD, everything looks great. GL!

It was probably just a typo. Maybe he meant 2350??

[Do I have to submit SAT or ACT scores if I am applying as a transfer? - Topic Powered by eve community](http://nyu.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/4934033161/m/8991088434)

“We will not consider standardized test scores from exams you took while already enrolled in college. Similarly, if you participated in these exams while in high school but are considering taking them again in college these scores will also not be considered.”
