Is October SAT early enough for ED/EA?

If I take the October SAT, would the scores arrive soon enough to add to Early Decision and Early Action apps?

It would probably be early enough for Early action, very unlikely for Early Decision. Depends on the schools, also. Where are you looking at?

uh no, the above poster is totally wrong, the october sat i/satii/act is totally FINE for early action AND early decision, it's the november sat stuff that may conflict for early action/early decision applicants, yet many schools say november is okay as well if the deadline is 11/15...and as for regular applicants you can take the sat up to december, hope that helps..peace...

thank you!

Sorry if I sound naive, what is the difference between ED and EA? I always thought they are the same

ED is binding.

look at the colleges site for more info on their policy. All colleges have this info posted (lol just think what would happen if CC never existed ahah)

for regular... january is still OK

Yeah October is definitely fine. The Harvard and Yale applications even say that if you take the November SAT, you don't have to rush the scores, just have them sent directly to the school where you're applying early.
