MyPlan.com ranks Oklahoma State 22nd in the country out of 598 schools for Overall Student Satisfaction, and Princeton Review gives them a Quality of Life rating of 99 on their 60-99 scale. All the student survey comments on PR are glowing. Is all that for real? Why would it be so popular?

Why do you ask or care?

Many come from in-state and choose it over the rival school, OU. It’s a very self selected student body.

I think that’s great information.
I am concerned on CC that students tend to imagine their happiness and future success are directly linked to the national ranking of their college.

I just read that their NMF guaranteed scholarship is full tuition + room + board + extra.

I know a number of people who attended and they all enjoyed their time there. One was a resident of Arkansas and was close to full pay.

That is wonderful gadad. Do you have a kid applying to college this year? I have nothing against OSU or any college. But its not on most kids radar screen unless you are from the area.

Do they get very many kids from OOS? Do many of their kids go home on weekends?

I don’t think that’s quite accurate, but it is very close to a full ride. Definitely one of the best out there.

According to CollegeBoard, about 26% are OOS. I would guess that many are Texas kids who fall outside the top 8%. Stillwater is kind of in the middle of nowhere, so it’s hard to imagine many people wanting to drive to OKC or Tulsa and back every weekend.
