<p>What do people who work in "operations" at banks do? It's not as sexy as IB or asset management because they dont recruit from the top tier schools. Is it hard to break into the more respectable divisions within the bank?</p>
<p>From what I've read on IBankingOasis, etc. (not always the best resource) many operations workers feel trapped in operations and do not feel that it is easy to move into "more respectable" divisions.</p>
