or do they assign groups? or do you have to make your own group?

i heard orientation is on March 7? First of all, if this date is accurate, why would they schedule orientation when there are still a ton of applicants who still haven’t received a decision yet? or are there multiple orientation sessions on different dates?

orientation starts on June 9th

as for groups, I think you’re basically on your own and it’s your responsibility to go to your required meetings and activities. don’t take my word for it though, it just seems like the logical choice.

Ok well I heard your floor is basically your group. And you gave meetings with people from the same major

ooh sounds pretty fun! haha June is far away but i’m already hyped :P

from looking at last years schedule of orientation, there are a lot of activities to go to and they should take up most of the day, but i’m assuming that the free time that you have you can do pretty much what you want. hopefully they’ll send an agenda before orientation actually starts.

The activity on march 7th is called round up. I’m pretty sure its only for students that have already been accepted, and if you do a search (google will work) then you can find the page for UT round up and register using your UT EID. I think its just some information sessions. Basically they try to convince you to go there.

The roundup is fairly worthless in my opinion.

foxshox, I think you are a student who had visited Austin often before you started at UT, right? You already knew a lot.

H.S. seniors who have seldom been to UT might really enjoy Round Up.
