I am aware that the deadline to submit separate apps for scholarships has passed (Nov.1) but it says on their website that if you submit your app you are considered for institutional aid. Does this mean I can still get some sort of financial aid from the school itself? I will be filling out FAFSA as well for government aid, but you can only get so much from the government.

No, you won’t get any scholarships. Transfer students rarely do. They don’t really matter to the school’s institutional profile.

Are you sure? Because I posted this question in another section and someone said they got a scarlet and gray scholarship or something like that…but i don’t know. I hope I do…or else I’ll be looking at outside scholarship and/or taking out loans to cover almost everything…

Also, I have really good grades and really high GPA at my current college. I also filled out the special eligibility scholarship form so maybe I’ll get something from that, but anyway. THanks for your input!

If you’re coming from a dinky community college or a branch campus, you probably won’t get anything.

Well I hope you’re wrong. I’ve taken a couple honors and high placement courses in math and philosophy and English. Anyway, I’ll find out sooner or later.
