This isn't a chance thread itself but rather a reaction to the chance threads I've been reading from class of 2012'ers.

Seem like a lot fewer of us with 2300+ SATs, 3.9+ GPAs with hard course loads, and stellar ECs.

It certainly is this way at my school. I was wondering if this might be a nationwide thing.

lol, there is no way you could accurately make that assumption based on a bunch of high school kids posting their stats on a forum.

In a word, yes. 2011 is the last great year of high school seniors.

well, I definitely could make that assumption… I clearly did. Whether or not it would be correct…

and we seem like a pretty big cross-section, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t be.

This is true at my school, but at another school fifteen minutes from me the Class of 2012’s competition = death. Wait until summer comes.

My grade is just as competitive as the ones who are now (well, until graduation next week, at least. lol) Seniors. We have quite a few 2300+s and 4.0s. 3.9+ is like 10-15% of our grade, roughly the same as this year’s Seniors. CC is just one website that does not account for everyone in the 2012 class. I know that the majority of the top students in my school don’t use it (many don’t even know about it), so I’d imagine the same is true on a larger, national (international?) scale.
