i submitted my apps already and my personal essay was about painting. in the essay i described different ways i painted as a metaphor for stages in my life. was this a good topic? i thought the essay was well written and all but it might not have shown my personality as much as i would’ve liked…do you think this was ok?
can’t say much without actually reading it, but I think how you wrote it is more important than the actual topic. One of the drafts I created for a supplemental (that I didn’t end up sending in) was very well-written. I used my experiences with art to reflect how I’d lost myself in a process and then came back to it years later and pursued it. I really, really liked that essay and I’m proud of it, even though I’m not interested in majoring in art at all.
I think you should be fine.
