Hey guys,
I'm a junior transfer at Cal this fall. I just got my housing offer - RH Apt Sgl, which I'm guessing is a single in an apartment at Martinez Commons. I think I'm pretty lucky considering how popular Martinez is.
My question is, is parking available on site? I saw that there's a hefty price for Residence Hall parking, but I really would need to bring my car.
Please let me know! Thank you so much for your answers :)

There is very limited parking available to students in the residence halls. A permit is only granted to students with “compelling need” as determined by residential life staff. If you were lucky enough to get one of these permits, your parking spot would be a few blocks away from Martinez, as there is not a lot on site.

My DS had a car when he lived in the dorms as a freshman. He was able to rent a parking space about a 15 minute walk away from his room in Unit 2. Start checking Craigslist now; convenient spaces get snapped up quickly!

@LVKris thank you for your reply! That’s a bummer to know there aren’t many spots onsite, as parking is so expensive. It would be cheaper to park somewhere else, am I right?

Two years ago my son paid $70 per month.

@LVKris thank you. so far nothing on craiglist seems close enough. I’ll keep looking.
