Is Penn State's 2 + 2 Program worth it if your out of state?

Hi, I recently got accepted to Penn State Harrisburg for Computer Science and their offering me the 2 + 2 deal so that I can spend my last 2 at university park. I heard UP has a great engineering program but is it worth the out-of-state tuition? I seen someone ask this question before but not for out-of-state. Should I accept Penn States 2 + 2 Program as a out of state student? Im from Virginia and my other options are George Mason University and VCU.

it’s not.
Unless money is no object and you really really want to go OOS, even to a small branch campus outside a depressed town (Harrisburg is not much fun and PSU H is not in Harrisburg proper but a suburb), choose Mason or VCU.

PA resident who lives within commuting distance of PSU Harrisburg here. It is not worth the OOS tuition. According to the website, only 400 students live on campus at PSU Hburg. So if you are looking for a campus-living experience, that would not happen at Hburg. This is not worth the $22-24k OOS tuition for those two years.

Harrisburg is nothing like DC or Richmond. Mason and VCU are great schools in great areas with the opportunities that come from being near vibrant cities. I say jump at the in-state tuition and enjoy the full college experience at one of them.
