so summer school is canceled at my high school because of the california budget cuts and i REALLY REALLY dont want to take the yearlong class my senior year.. theres only one physics teacher and his class average is a 64...

im taking 4 AP classes next year [ap chems one of them], will it be enough to cover up not taking physics?

i want to go to UCSD, UCSB, or UCI

I have a similar question also.

as much as i hate physics, i think it’s best if you take it (especially if you’re looking at top tier schools).

Depends on your major. I would recommend it.

Take physics, it helps out a lot, if not an extra life science.

Physics is easily more useful than chemistry and biology depending on your planned major

i read…
Hahaha! that scared me for a second.

If you like/are good at math, then you should have no problems.

TAKE IT!
haha dont do the same thing i did…
i orignally took physics 11 but then dropped it thinking i didnt need it… i did.
so now im hoping theres a class in summerschool because if not, ill have to pile it on top of bio12, chem12, physics12, calculus, advanced functions, eng, and music

you might think you dont need it, and maybe you dont, but it doesnt hurt if you take it

Ugh! I still have nightmares about Physics. lol! But still, I think that you should still take the class.

I love physics. I haven’t gotten lower than 100 on any assignment all year and I’m trying to keep it that way.
Take it. Its fun.

Take it

Most physics classes will challenge you to think, which in the end is more important than the grade you receive.

I’m debating on whether to take physics senior year.

Me too. Unless I take calc over the summer, I think I will take bio because it is more practical for me. But, I’m still deciding.

YES
PHYSICS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT SCIENCE COURSE
that YOU WILL EVER TAKE

YES

How much will it hurt at selective colleges if I don’t take physics? It’s going to be really hard for me to fit in physics because it will ruin a LOT of plans I have. That’s why I don’t want to take it unless it will really hurt me if I don’t.

I was going to take physics my senior as well only because that’s the only science I haven’t taken that my school offers. I heard it’s a joke though because the teacher spends half the class checking homework and the other half going over it. But people have trouble learning because the teacher smells bad.

I think you should take physics. It really is an interesting class, and is the most applicable. You will most likely have to take physics in college, and you might as well get a feel for it. Also, if you’ve taken calculus, physics will probably be alot easier. Who knows, you may end up loving physics…

Physics is the bane of my high school career.

AHHHHHHHHHHH.
I’m now officially starting to rethink my whole entire schedule. again. for what seems like the 223947239873 time.
AH. Is physics really that important? I FOR SURE not going into math/science in college and I have 5 other AP classes and spanish V so I’m going to be loaded with work. And college apps. I reallllly hated physics when we learned it in the 9th grade. I struggled with it SO much…I never understood the concepts. But I didn’t want to drop science senior year so I signed up for Enviro Science. Bad idea?
