I am planning on doing pre-law and majoring in political science, but i'm not sure where to go. Geneseo seems like a better school, but stony is much much closer and I feel like I would fit in better socially at stony.

No specific major or course work is required for pre-law. So choose the school based on cost, fit (academic and non-academic), and grade inflation. For law school, you want to get the highest GPA possible and the highest LSAT score possible (course work that gives your practice in reading, writing, and logical thinking (e.g. math or logic in philosophy) is likely helpful).

^Agreed. LSAT is the most important criteria. Then gpa. Practice LSAT exams until you are so sick of them you want to … And go to the college of your choice!!
