Is preparing for SAT II math will help high score in SAT I

I am Junior in High School and I reccently took the SAT. In writing and critical reading I had no problems, but in math I only recieved a 650. I'm planning to re-take the SAT in June after taking the SAT Math II Subject test in May. Will preparing for Math II help me improve my score on the SAT I?

Not by much… the SATII Math tests math at a much higher level than the SAT I. Whereas the SAT I only goes as far as geometry and is more about critical thinking and problem solving, the Math II is simply conceptual pre-calculus.

Nah. I found the SAT II to be easier than the SAT I Math, but I scored about the same in both…770 in Math II and 760 on SAT I. You definitely have to refresh your memory on the kinds of questions they’re going to ask.
