Someone tell me where grads of the IS program end up going?

Also what are the H&SS requirements one has to fill for the IS major?

I don't know what H&SS requirements you need, S doubled IS with CS (and got MISM) so a lot of requirements overlapped.

Anyway at the IS departmental graduation we went to in May, each graduate composed a short bio, including what EC's, sports, etc they did at CMU, internships they served, a funny line or 2, and what their future plans are.

Of maybe 70 grads, I'd say perhaps a dozen are returning for MISM (masters). Of the rest more than half, prob 2/3 going to NYC nearly all to top well-known places. A good number to banks (S to Goldman Sachs, a few others going there too), UBS, Lehman Bros, Morgan Stanley. Also to GM, Ford, Deloitte. And McKinsey, Booz Allen for consulting. There were also about 6 or 8 going to the same consulting firm in DC area, not sure of its name (AMS?). The rest around the world, a fair # to Asia.

Would you suggest going to CMU-IS or Cornell-IS/Engineering if I want to end up in NYC companies?
