I got a letter in the Mail saying that I "Needed to attend this Workshop because “It is so important for my future” after the Presentation, they had a long interview with me and my family and convinced my father that he should pay 2000 dollars for this program and that t would help me through college, they would tutor me, they would help me through my FAFSA and all of that and that If he didn’t pay now, he would have to pay 2500 later. He paid, but after doing some research when I get home, 7/10 people say that It was a scam. What do you guys think? Has anyone else gone through this before? Please help.
Hey, I’ve been in the Right C3 program for the past two years and it’s pretty good. Their coaches have helped lined up some colleges for me based on a couple of majors I like. They figured out how I could pay in-state tuition at some out of state schools that offered majors not available in my state. Its no scam.
What they do doesn’t sound like anything that couldn’t be done by oneself with a fair amount of research. I wouldn’t pay that much, and would instead talk to guidance counselors and do anything they would offer (lining up what schools to go to, how to pay for them, picking a major) independently.
I looked at a bunch of complaints reported to the Better Business Bureau. A recurring theme is that the services provided are the kind that most people can figure out for themselves. Looking at their website, I would say you can get most of those services through a combination of College Confidential and the usual SAT/ACT prep books.
After signing a contract with them my son informed me that his high school was providing allof the services for free that C3 gets your money for.
A friend of ours just asked me about this because a friend of his got lured into one of their seminars. It sounds like alot of $$$. Wondering if anyone else has experience.
