Is rpi fun?

Okay, I want to agree and disagree with NP.

I, personally, think RPI is a great school. It has great academic and programs.

Socially, though, it is definitely not for everyone. If you’re looking for extroversion and an amazing social life, you probably won’t find that at RPI. The students there aren’t necessarily introverted, but I’m highly active there as a high school student and I don’t see much there socially. Yeah, there’s always the classic frisbee game on the football field and stuff. Those that have the “best” social lives at RPI tend to be in the Greek system, which is prominent on campus, or on a sports team but then again not everyone likes Greek life or sports. (and it’s not a lie that a lot of the guys there are the socially awkward types (especially with the scarcity of women).)

Now, the Capital Region kinda sucks. I’m from the same area as NP, so I know from firsthand. There’s definitely things to do, but nothing all that exciting that you don’t have to travel a ways for. We have some good concerts, but we definitely need a significant improvement in events.

So, in closing, if you’re the science/math/technology type that cares more about the education than the social life, then you’ll probably really like RPI. If not, then you may find RPI boring.

^ Basically Ohboi said exactly what I did except he sugarcoated it as though he was talking to an adolescent. Which if fine if that’s what you want.

Haha, the only thing I disagree with you on was its academics. Everything else I pretty much agree with, just maybe not as harshly.

We’re both going to NYU anyway, so RPI obviously isn’t the type of school for us. Lol. ;)

But, hey, maybe it sounds sugarcoated because I’m a little biased. I have a secret love for RPI.

…and let me tell you just in case you don’t know. You’ll get sick of the food after about a week.

NP1, may I ask who taught that calculus course?
