Is Rutgers a possibility?

Hi everyone,

I am a 24 white male from northern Jersey who would like some guidance. Below are my stats.

High School
-I am not exactly sure what my GPA was in high school, but for the sake of this posting I’ll say 1.5.
-never took the SAT’s or ACT and because I have been out of high school for 6 years I am not going to take them
-I played soccer freshman and sophomore year
-Received the turn-around award my senior year

After high school/ EC’s:
-Started up a lucrative real estate investment company. The reason why I am pursuing college is because I would rather dedicate my life to physics, then to the unpredictable real estate market.
-spend 40+ hours a week running my company
-astronomy/astrophotography
-snowboarding
-self-taught guitar player

College:
-I am currently attending Thomas Edison State College
-Completed 24 credits
-3.87 GPA

Without traveling back in time to change my high school transcript, what my chances are at transferring to Rutgers New Brunswick or Montclair State? Also, any comments regarding how my high school transcript will weighted and how I should approach the application process would be much appreciated.

I would imagine that your improvement would count for a great deal. Don't worry too much about your HS performance. :)

....bump....

pretty good... im not sure about rutgers, but u should be in at montclair state

Anybody else with insight?

Not again! Bump

bbbbbbbbbbbuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmppppp.....

montclair state should be no problem at all...rutgers I honestly have no idea

Chances to Rutgers are excellent, but generally they won't start ignoring the high school records and not require test scores until you finish at least 30 units--and are going to take at least another 15 units before attending.

So finish at least another few units right away before applying and you'll have no problem at all.

I am going to be taking at least another 15 credits before attending, but will be applying with 24 credits and a 3.87 GPA. Is there anything I can do to improve my chances, besides writing outstanding essays? Just out of curiosity, what is Rutgers transfer acceptance rate?

bump......

Anybody else with additional insight?

.....bump.....

Last time bump...
