Bc i wanna go there.

yeah it has a high instate acceptance

It's incredibly easy. You don't even have to write an essay. If you can breathe and spell your name you can probably attend.

You are quite mistaken. Your class rank and scores are crucial.

Well if by crucial you mean they look at them, then yes. They don't have to be that great though...

For new jersey, Rutgers upped their standards this year A LOT. Usually anyone from NJ who was a decent student with 1000+ SAT's got into New Brunswick, but they are increasingly accepting students to the Newark campus.

The actual application is not such a hurdle, but the high school record and rank, as well as the SAT scores, are used as a strict standard. Be advised.

Would a GPA of 3.8 and a SAT score of about 1600-1800 (Estimation) do the magic???

"It's incredibly easy. You don't even have to write an essay. If you can breathe and spell your name you can probably attend."

I think your fine patel.

Sorry about taking over the thread (although only two posts). I was worring because of my low SAT score; but Thanks Tor........

Where you from in NJ patel?

I live in SOuth Jersey (Egg Harbor Township----- ARound Atlantic City).

2.2 GPA 1400 SAT. Any chance at rutgers??

I'm OOS also. Yeah def would go their.

Rank is a major issue, regardless of grades and scores. If you are in top half of class, grades and scores can help, otherwise, no admit.

So top half = admit?

don, no way you would get in rutgers nb with a 2.2 even if your SAT was 1400/1600.

you're guaranteed in at livingston at least with a 3.0 and a 1200.

rank may be an issue, but it wasn't for me. i have a 3.4 and a 1260/1840 but my rank was 98/175 - at my hs we have the option of whether or not we want to list our rank, which i took advantage of. i'm being considered for a scholarship which i won't get once they see my class rank. i was accepted to douglass, livingston, and rutgers college in 3 days.

I think I would get in then with a rank of 88/195.....tho my gpa is 3.0

Also your school must be mad smart. 3.4 and not even in the top half. That'll get you in the top quarter at my school, though our classes are tough bc we are private, so it could be diff for you.

I think it's funny how Rutgers is always the back up school for kids applying to more prestigious schools. I'm not gonna lie, that's the way it is for me, but I do really like Rutgers and will be happy if I end up going there.
