Is Santa Clara really THAT pretty?

Besides the Missions, is Santa Clara really as pretty as the Pomonas, Stanfords, Pepperdines and U San Diegos of California? Just wondering. From what I've seen (but I haven't visited) it doesn't seem so great...

bump......just curious what you guys think..I was having a debate about it compared to the other schools I mentioned w/ my friend who goes there..

In our house, 3 of us visited Pitzer/Claremonts, Pepperdine, USD, and Santa Clara (but not Stanford).
1 of us thought Santa Clara was prettiest, the other 2 voted for USD.

My brother goes to Santa Clara and the campus is very nice. There is definitely a private school feel with nice landscaping and nice buildings. The location is in a small town which is just steps from campus. USD is very similar as far as location. Other schools like LMU and Pepperdine have better views, but all these schools have great campuses. No reason to doubt whether or not Santa Clara has a beautiful campus.

I've visited a relative who is attending there twice, and I was amazed. SCU is georgeous.

I visited two years ago, and I still remember the feeling of awe at the campus. Beautiful buildings, green freshly cut grass, gorgeous flowers, the works. If manicured lawns and impeccably maintained grounds are your thing, SCU has got it. If you are more the type that wants to be able to climb any tree you see, you might want to look elsewhere (I ended up at Occidental, where the campus is both beautiful and a little more open to being climbed on =) ).

DD is a student at SCU. The campus is gorgeous and very very well maintained. The landscaping is beautiful with something almost always in bloom. We also visited USD, the Claremont Colleges and Pepperdine. Pepperdine has that fabulous view of the ocean from every building, but to be honest, the buildings themselves aren't all that lovely. USD is ok...but SCU was the best in our view.

I agree with thumper1. Santa Clara has an almost surprisingly beautiful campus.
