Is SAT prep good prep for ACT

Most of time spent prepping for SAT - would also like to take ACT. Do I need to start over?

Yeah it helps but you need to get used to ACT questions too

Yes.
Grammar Rules – the same rules are tested, ACT will have more style questions…but I’d argue that most sentence improvement questions are style questions.

Math - get comfortable with word problems…the ACT may reward students on a few questions for basic math knowledge; the SAT is less likely to do this.

Reading - both tests ask similar questions…both tests offer boring passages…learn to disprove answer choices and you will do great.

Science - just practice…it’s just like a reading section…read as little as possible and eliminate answers.

Time management - on the ACT you will need to sprint from start to finish.

Any comparison between the ACT essay and the SAT essay? D is taking this Saturday, and has no time to prep because she was prepping for the SAT before this. So it would be great to hear any strategies. If the formula for a good essay is the same as the SAT, no problem.

beard of zeus - I love the irony of this statement: it’s just like a reading section…read as little as possible…
