Does anyone know if Scripps is going to be looking at the SAT Writing scores during this next admission application season?
Are they still going to have you submit a graded writing sample as an application supplement?

I believe that the graded writing sample is standard (they've been requesting if for quite a long time). I don't know whether or not they will be looking at the SAT Writing this year, but I imagine they won't because they didn't last year (don't count me on that, though).

I didn't see a supplement listed on the Common Application web site for 2006-2007 for Scripps.

I thought last year it has a supplement link that requested a graded writing assignment.

The national percentiles for the SAT writing exam are suppose to published in Sept 2006, so I thought Scripps and some other schools that didn't use it last year might this year.

I really don't know whether or not they are going to the SAT Writing. I was just telling you what I knew based off last year's procedure (I have spent considerable time in the Admission Office as a student).

I would be surprised if they didn't ask for the graded writing assignment.
I would not be surprised if they required the SAT Writing.

That's about the best I can give you.

Stickypenguin,

Thanks for sharing what you know about the admission requirements.
I really appreciate your posts and hearing what you know about Scripps and other colleges.
We are going to one of the Claremont receptions later this month, so if I don't get a chance to find out at that event I'll call the admission office and ask.
