So I contacted the FA office about my dilemma and they said they could not help me because they currently have no more funds, but would notify me when they did.
I really liked this school, but idk anymore. They left me a $6,000 gap, but my dad will help me cover that. Even if that is covered they gave me 11,500 in loans. (Independent Student)
I was thinking about getting a summer job to reduce my unsubsidized loans, but idk if it is worth all the work I'll be putting into going here.
Do you think its worth it or should I just forget about Seattle U?

Hey sofaraway,

I feel it really depends on your initial feelings about the school. I personally am very excited about going there and am applying for every scholarship possible so I can diminish the amount my family will have to pay.

Just think- is all this work going towards a school that is going to give me a stellar education?

Whenever I tell people SU is where I am attending they either say “wow!” or “that’s a GREAT school” those comments left me knowing what the school is known for and my time there and money spent there is will be well spent.

Hopefully this helped a little:)

Yeah I talked to my teacher about it the other day.
He was saying his daughter attended Seattle U and she had so many great opportunities/experiences. He said I would feel very welcomed over there and that people are really nice. He made me want to go even more lol. I guess I’ll really know after I visit.

My daughter goes to a private high school in Northern California (wine country) and she has had the same experience as Rose17 whenever she mentions she is going to SU. The parents of her classmates and teachers that attended SU were more than enthusiastic about the school, people and city. The only negative response we have ever had was about “the weather,” but, as my best friend from high school said who has a daughter who transferred from Hawaii to Seattle recently, “it rains more in Hawaii!” My daughter has chosen SU and is looking forward to getting out of California for awhile.

Lol Yeah I visited Seattle and LOVED everything. The city is so fun and it was sunny while I was there lol. The University is also very nice and I liked the Open House. I am going to have a talk with my dad and see what he can do to help. He is the only one who really has money, but I am going to try to make it possible. If not than its probably just Cal State Long Beach for me. =/
