So through all this college talk, I ask people if they're going to Rutgers, even though Rutgers has pretty much everything they need, they say things like "I don't want college life to be like high school all over again since anyone and everyone gets accepted there".

Which makes me think, if a lot of people already know each other, wouldn't it be hard to 'start fresh' since there's going to be cliques already formed?

People always ask this question. The answer is ‘no’. Rutgers is huge. Even if 50 people from your high school go there, you will probably rarely run into them unless they are in a small program with you, like pharmacy.

I have a similar problem. My roommate has a lot of kids from his High School here. They all hang out together all the time. Many are on my floor. It’s annoying. They really don’t try to make non-High School friends. They don’t realize how boring their High School stories are if you didn’t go there.
