Is self studying AP Human Geography worth it?

I’m in my freshman year and am already taking AP Comp Sci. My school doesn’t offer AP Human Geo and I was thinking about self-studying it. I just don’t know if it’s actually worth taking the time to study or not. Could you help me out here?

Also, if you know of any textbooks that are especially good for it, please post those, too!

It’s not worth it. Colleges don’t consider it a really high level AP course – it’s known as a freshman AP – and it probably won’t count for much toward a major except as elective credit (possibly core, depending on where you go). Unless you plan on majoring in Geography and really want to cover that material, I wouldn’t bother. Very cool you got into AP Comp Sci as a freshman!

Ok! Thanks so much for your help!

What @mommyrocks said. It’s not really worth it. It’s interesting, but not many colleges accept credit for it.
