Is Social Media Accounts From Colleges Helpful?

Thanks for all the help so far. I'm trying to get a good idea of how to go about my college search.

During your search to find a college or university that was a good fit for you, did you follow any of the social media accounts of the schools you were interested in?

If you did, was it helpful?

If you didn't, why not?

Thanks again!

I follow a few of my top picks on Twitter but it’s not all that helpful. It gives you a bit of an idea of student life and activities. The best thing is their (the college’s) official website, College *******, this website, and College Board.

Thanks for the feedback. What were you hoping to accomplish by following their social media accounts? Is getting a clearer feel of what student life is like crucial to helping you make a decision?

I really feel like colleges post news article and more information related to students already going there, that is why I haven’t really found them too helpful to follow, and pay close attention to during my search? Has anyone thought other wise?
