Is spanish useful for international business?

I currently know Spanish. I've known it ever since I can remember. I speak it fluently, and I don't want to just be a Spanish major because the language is flourishing and, soon it will be known almost everywhere in the United States. I don't want to be a Spanish major, and just interpret. I could run out of jobs. So, I figured International business would help broaden my choice of a career. I already know Spanish, I don't need a degree to say so. I can just get certified, and not waste my time in college. Can someone answer this for me... Am I making the right decision?

Employers who value knowledge of a language don’t normally care if you majored or minored in it. All they care about is if you speak it. So feel free to major in something other than Spanish.

Companies definitely prefer fluent. It also helps to understand the differences between the cultures in the Spanish speaking countries. I have worked in Latin American divisions of several companies and most preferred fluent speakers who have had some international experience or at least good knowledge of the Spanish speaking countries. They have never asked me for a certificate as usually they initiate a conversation in Spanish.
