Is SSA binding?

<p>I'm about to submit my SSA application, but IU is not my first choice. I get my letter back from Notre Dame most likely Monday or Tuesday (which is also non-binding but my dream school), but IU is my 2nd choice. If I don't get into Notre Dame (knock on wood), I don't want to miss out on a scholarship. On the other hand, I don't want to be bound to IU if I get into Notre Dame. </p>

<p>So in summary, will submitting the IU SSA bind me to IU?</p>

<p>Note that most departments/schools who use the SSA to determine departmental scholarships will not get back to you on the amount of money they will be giving you until March or thereabouts.</p>
