BA from Gallatin is great. It all depends on how well you do while there I think. What is/are your concentration/s, what's your GPA etc. matter. I heard that the popularity of that school is increasing; and Olsen twins go there so...many Olsen maniac fans applied...That's why I changed my anticipated school from Gallatin to the School of Social Work. But that's not the main reason. Gallatin students do receive high starting salaries. But again, it all depends on you. Someone who goes to NYU told me that Gallatin students are easier to transfer out to schools such as Stern because they are allowed to take courses at Stern and other NYU schools which could satisfy business or econ or whatever requirements.

It's a great school, and it's not that competitive. But I am telling you, many people applied to that school this year.

I never understood Gallatin even after researching NYU extensively, basically they say if you have a field you want to study outside of what NYU offers, go there... but they never really expand on what that means.

I dont think kjayson is being mean or hostile or anything, the acceptance rate for transfer student is at about 9-10% I believe, maybe lower, and most they accept are from people with 4.0's in college, with extensive EC and awards. Basically people who couldnt go 4 years because of financial reason, or who had low SAT scores, but highly good grades. You have to really stand out to get in via transfer, I mean REALLY stand out.

I'm curious to know if they were actually accepted based on their GPAs etc. or if they were cut a ton of slack because of who they are (and the possibilities of donating millions to the school as alumni).
