Is studying abroad really worth it?

That’s one of the main reasons study abroad is so expensive for US students - lots of disposable income to be scooped up…

(not too mention other sources of money to pay for study abroad - loans, grandparents, even crowdfunding…)

Not all study abroad organizations are non-profit. Some are out to make big bucks.

By GDP USA is the richest country, but not by per capita.

I don’t know if anyone is giving advice but, I’m planning to be a transfer student at Middle Tennessee State University. I’m interested in their study abroad program. But, I’m interested in three different areas. Fashion, music and Animation. I was wondering Would colleges allow you to take more than one semester off to study abroad?
I’ve always wanted to go to Paris, Italy or Germany to do study abroad. How would they do this? I want to do one my Sophomore/Junior year. When should I start study abroad?
Would having an internship help too? How would doing study abroad help your career? Any tips? Any advice?
