Is Superscore considered the Same as a Regular Composite?

Does the person who has a single sitting 33 have an advantage over a superscore 33

  1. At schools that superscore
  2. At schools that say they take the highest in each but do not superscore

In my case it is 2 sittings

Not at all. Many schools have a computer or person plugging in data all day. Most applications that the adcoms will see say “33 composite, 31 english, etc”.

SOME have been saying that schools do not superscore for scholarships… I’m not sure how much “merit” that holds (see what I did there?)

I had this same question. I have a 32 single but a 34 super across two tests. I applied to Brown and they only look at highest sub scores.

It’s a data dump – that’d be nuts to have someone plugging in scores to people’s files.

Many schools only superscore the SAT and not the ACT. It’s best to look on the website of the school to determine how they determine their scores .

^ Harvard does not according to the two lists I’ve seen online so that was probably not the best example in post #5.

Why don’t all schools that superscore one test also superscore the other. Makes no sense

No. They wouldn’t ask for your superscore if they cared what your non-super score is.

Good point
