I've never taken an honors or AP class? I'm definitely taking an AP class, and I plan on taking physics honors and calculus honors my senior year because I plan on getting a PhD in physics and I think it'll be a great idea because it might prepare me for college courses.

I’m going to be a senior BTW, so I don’t necessarily have a chance of becoming an honors student.

Well… this website is complete crap. No one here is helpful or looking to help people.

Maybe no one saw this (or thought you were kidding). And no, that shouldn’t be hard. In fact, if your future is in a STEM major and then research, you should honestly seek more rigor like a chemistry class or something. I believe my senior year, I took 5 APs (Chem, Calc, Bio, Literature, and European History) and the rest were honors or electives. I also pursued a more rigorous curriculum during undergrad because I planned to go into research (got my grad. apps in for this cycle) simply because I could (wasn’t pre-med so didn’t need to water down my courses for grades) and because it would expose me to more knowledge and ways of thinking in the field(s) of interest. If you see yourself as pursuing science intensely (beyond the level of a pre-med as many/most pre-Ph.D and pre-MDPh.D science majors do) as an undergrad, that schedule in HS should be very doable.

Which AP class are you planning to take? Some are harder than others and may not be of interest to you. There are a ton of different AP classes and without more knowledge of your work ethic and previous grades it is really hard to determine what’s right for you.

For Calculus and Physics, as long as you have done fine (A’s and B’s) in your previous math/science classes and have a good work ethic, you should be fine.
