I was just reviewing my schedule for my next semester, just four ME classes. To my amazement, all four finals land on the same day, 8-11am, 11:30-2:30pm, 3-6pm, and 7-10pm. Is that even doable? Should I change my schedule for the sake of my brain?

holy ****.

well, that’s insane, but you could try to bring lots of caffeine pills and redbull that day. haha :]

considering finals are a huge portions of your grade, that’s probably no good. change if you can.

i took 3 in a row and that was pretty bad. 4 is insane.

what are ME classes?

but i would change it

mech engineering im guessing

DO IT!!! DO IT!!! DO IT!!! PEER PRESSURE!!! DO IT!!!

It’s totally doable. Provided that you know your ish well before the exam and not try to cram between every break you have. However, I’m guessing by the fourth one, you might go just a little bit crazy using all that brain power. I mean you would literally have used half of the day taking tests.

What do you think?

Since next semester will be the very first time anyone can take 4 finals in one day, nobody knows from prior experience at UC Berkeley. Therefore, use common sense.

First time for everything.

That is the most badass thing ever I’d do it just for the bragging rights you get afterwards :P.

Ask your professors if you can take atleast one (if not a couple) earlier?

Yeah I second what 20LEGEND says. Back then, before when there were only 3 final-taking sessions per day, wasn’t it allowed by university rules of some sort to be able to have a final on a different day if you had 3 in one day. So I’m sure there would be something like that especially now that some people might have 4 in one day like yourself. At least one of your professors will probably be understanding of your situation and help you out with this.

ya i just realized that 7-10 is really late. like what if i said 9 o clock was my sleepy time.

Of course it’s possible to take 4 finals in one day. But doing well on those finals? That depends on how dedicated you are.

One of my four classes is a technical elective, I can consider dropping that one. But still I will have 3 finals on one day. I asked my peers and many all have around 3 finals on that day as well. Why did the department arrange the final slot back to back in the first place?

Final slots are determined by class times. Since they are major courses and many of your peers are affected similarly, you may be able to get that changed if you talk to major advisors.
