Is taking 4 honors classes too much?

I’m moving up to Junior year and I’ve been recommended for some AP and honors classes.

Right now the honors/AP classes I am taking are:
Honors Algebra 2 Trig (90%)
Honors Chemistry (92%)
AP Human Geography (96%)

I’m bumping up to:
AP Chemistry (1 hour and 15 minute class compared to typical 45 hours)
Honors Precalculus
AP US History
Honors Physics

I’ve kept A’s for all of my classes since freshman year, but I’m kind of hesitant since I heard that AP Chem is one of the most difficult science classes in my school. AP Human Geo is also really easy but I’m worried about the changes in transferring from a Geography to History class. I’m sure that my classes may be different difficulty wise to those of other schools, but I just want to hear from your opinions on what it was like for you.

I don’t think 2 science classes would be a great idea. I’m not sure how rigorous your school is though. I took honors Chem Jr year and taking honors physics now Senior year.

Good luck with whatever you decide! You seem like you have many high level classes and are doing well in them.

If you are worried about taking 4 honors courses I would think hard about taking two sciences.
Although, I would try to make sure that you have taken Bio, Chem, and Physics by the end of HS so you may need to.

well im taking chem bio ap and physics ap this year and its not too hard to cope with…since physics is honors and judging by your grades i THINK you can handle it…

Could you take Honors Physics senior year, and take something else junior year (for a science)?

I am in honors chemistry as well and have heard that AP Chem is a difficult class from others who have taken it, but from what I’ve heard, it’s a very worthwhile class where you learn a lot.
I’m thinking that since you already have experience with an AP class, you should be able to handle adding one more especially if it is a subject that you enjoy. As long as you’ll willing to put in the effort, which from your grades, I can tell that you do, 2 AP and 2 honors classes should be manageable.
As for honors physics, I know sophomores who have taken it and done fine, so I think you should be fine.
Are you taking any electives that may balance out your schedule?

My electives are easy. I live in Illinois so PE is a requirement, and I also take orchestra as an elective.
