Is taking a minor in animation a bad idea

So I’m not completely positive but I am leaning towards an education major of some sort. I will most likely be joining Air Force ROTC which will give me one minor. The one thing I would really like to add is an animation minor; would it be a waste of my time and money? I have always loved animation though have had no way to explore it (small high school with no computer graphics classes or animation of any sort) would I be wasting my time? If I ended up loving it could I pursue it as a profession or use it in any way with only a minor? And would it be too much to try to do a major and 2 minors?

I would only take a minor if: 1) it is something you are interested in and 2) if you can fit the coursework in your schedule without overloading or taking more time to graduate. If the minor won’t work you can still take as many courses as you can fit in the area and list them on your resume if you ever want to seek employment in animation. Nobody will hire you or not because of a minor.

Also check with the college to see what is possible - my daughter’s college did not allow students to declare more than one minor.

Also you don’t necessarily have to do an official minor…you can take classes in that area as they fit in your schedule.
