I'm trying to get into Haas and need A's in both classes to get in. I need to take either both of those classes next fall or one of them in the summer, and I don't have time in the summer.

what else are you taking

um will you be a freshman or a sophomore…
if freshman -> don’t do it

Econ 1 and ugba (along with some breadth) might be doable. But if you’re consider econ1/ba10/math course, it’d be pretty tough.

I will be a sophomore and will be taking a literature/writing requirement class. I might also take the southern border class or theater 10 or the modern Mexico one.

why didn’t you take econ/ugba this semester?

because im a spring admit and as my first semester at Cal, I didnt want to take on a big courseload

yes it is doable, go for it.

Yes I agree. Definitely doable. UGBA is more or less memorization anyways.

You can take one next Spring FYI…

The do-able-ness ALL depends on you. Plenty of students do well in both. Plenty of students do mediocre/poorly.

I took both at the same time + 2 other prereqs for my other major and I did fine :)

I don’t think you should wait until spring because Econ 1 and UGBA are important prereqs so Haas would want to see your grade on them.
Personally, it seems like you don’t have much choice except to take them both together in the fall, so all you can do now is give it all you’ve got!
