Is taking the Physics/Chemistry SAT subject Test a good idea for a physics major?

So I took three subject tests sophomore year and got an 800 on Math 2, an 800 on Bio M and a 780 on US History. If I am planning on majoring in physics, should I take either the Physics or Chemistry subject test as well? I’m taking AP Chem this year, but not AP Physics until next year (my school’s weird), so I could take the chemistry one in June.

You have 3 excellent subject test scores. You’re done with that aspect unless you are applying for engineering (and the school specifically requests physics or chem). Otherwise, move on to other aspects of your application. No college is going to be dazzled by 4+ Subject Test; in fact, the overtesting could bite you in the behind as being too one-dimensional. Good luck.

Agree, unless a school you are interested in applying to specifically asks for the Chem or Physics SAT II you are done.
