Is taking the SAT 3 times too much?

Hey, so basically I'm an international applicant who got rejected from HYPD last year, and am thinking of reapplying this year.

So, the first time I took the SAT, I stupidly booked the test on the same week I had another important exam - the BMAT (not that this is relevant) - and so my attentions were divided and I came out of the exam with a 2280 (750 M, 730 CR, 800 W).

I felt that I could do much better than my score so I retook it about 2 months later and although I improved the 2 major sections - CR & Math - I think I must've got complacent or a little careless because my overall score actually dropped to 2270 (800 M, 750 CR, 680 W).

I fully understand that the schools I'm applying to will take into account so much more than just SAT scores, and that my SuperScore of 2350 is competitive, but I feel like neither of those single-sitting scores are representative of my ability and feel that now that I've finished school and can fully concentrate on the SAT, that maybe I could bump up my score?

But on the other hand, I was wondering if 3 times would be considered excessive? Like I was just obsessed with trying to improve my score? I just think I rushed my application last year, and this year I want to make it as solid as possible in all aspects.............

Thanks in advance.

My bad, I meant I got 2250 (800 M, 750 CR, 690 W) on the 2nd time.

Don’t worry about your SATs. Your scores are comparable to what mine were last year when I was admitted. Improve your ECs and demonstrate a passion - that’s probably what got you. Offer something that only you can bring to the college. How many schools did you apply to the first time? Just those four? Were you sure you were going to get in?

Those scores are definitely competitive enough I’d say. You’re not going to get rejected because of them. However, if you still really wanted to take them a third time I think that’s still okay too (four times might be overboard though)

Wait you got a 2280 and they all rejected you flat??? Were your ECs and Grades good???!!!
