Can anyone give me an idea if most students go home on weekends? Is there a lot of programming that goes on during the weekend for student who stay on campus?

It somewhat is. I’d say the average student goes home at least once every 5 weeks. It’s really what you make of it though. You’ll have a couple friends go home here and there but in the end it’s not the end of the world.

It’s really kinda half and half.

Honestly, there are a lot people here because it is close to home and they go home all the time despite all the things that go on around campus. However, there are equally many who never go home, and the majority go home every now and again. About what the poster above said.

That being said, don’t ignore the convenience of being close to home. It allows for many things other than staying home for the weekend.

My recommendation, and something I wish I had done, would be to quickly find out who the homebodies are. If you plan on staying on campus all the time, you don’t want to have all your friends at home. Kinda sucks =/

We are about 30 minutes from TCNJ and my son only called twice for us to pick him up…and that was so he could bring his car back for the weekend so he and his friends could go somewhere. Most of his friends stayed every weekend. There were some that went home but he always had something to do and was never bored. It’s definitely what you make of it. I don’t think I’ll will see him at all this fall since he will have his car on campus.
