Is Texas Christian Unversity(TCU) going to move up in US New Rankings?

Now that applications are up 45% from last year, and the fact that the football team won the Rose Bowl, will TCU move up a few spots?

It moved up 11 spots from 110 to 99 for the 2011 year.

What's your prediction for 2012?

Indeed, TCU did get plenty of air-time and media love in the last few months, thanks to its football team and the win in the Rose Bowl. Though I am not familiar with the school academically, I’ve heard good things from my cousin who relocated to Dallas from Michigan two years ago. In terms of moving up the USNWR ranking based on the trend you indicated (keep in mind that the magazine tweaked the methodology last year), I am not certain… as there are numerous factors that contributed to the final overall ranking as well. Nonetheless, as a Buckeye alum, I can tell you that TOSU’s applications went up by nearly 30% this year, and although academically, the school has been making significant strives in the last couple of years, I would certainly like to say that winning the Rose Bowl on the national stage last year must have contributed in one way or another to this drastic outcome. Wait, did I mention we also won the Sugar Bowl last night?! :p
