I was sent my explore test results a couple of weeks ago and was wondering if the predicted plan test score was accurate. Here are my scores. (everything is out of 25)

Composite: 24 (99 percentile)
English: 24 (99)
Math: 23 (96)
Reading: 22 (94)
Science: 25 (100) :D
Estimated plan composite score: 23-28

I'm a little confused on why my estimated plan score is so low... I thought it would be higher since i'm in the 99th percentile. Also, what would do you think i would get on the ACT?

The Explore seems to me to be the least representative of it’s test comparatively. The PSAT is much like the SAT, aside from some key aspects (like the essay, etc.), and the PLAN is akin to the ACT (aside from the sheer length and higher math concepts.) The Explore doesn’t act like the other pre-tests because the way the test is written and the “feel” of the test aren’t remotely like the ACT. This isn’t meant to belittle your score, but rather to inform you that the Explore means just about nothing in terms of success on future tests.
As for why your score is so low; the projected scores for the PLAN are a bit odd, as they generally contain your current Explore score. For example, I got a 25 on the Explore, but my projected PLAN was a 25-32 (I ended up with a 29).
Lastly, your ACT score will depend largely upon personal studying and natural ability with tests. I ended up with a 35 on the ACT in one sitting with little studying, but only because I do better under pressure and on tests in general. If you generally do well on tests, or study hard, your score can fluctuate dramatically.
A shot in the dark guess for your ACT would be a 32, but it’s a little to early to be making predictions.

Plan isn’t out of 36 like the ACT it’s out of 32 i believe?

But just as the first poster said; the PSAT is very representative of the SAT. (i only got like a 140 on it? lmao) I precede today to try the SAT i only get 1600’s… lol

The explore/plan aren’t much good at all. They can’t even get the curves right. I got ONE question wrong on the plan reading exam. It lowered my reading score from max score down like 5-6 points from max.

If you are acing the explore, please do try and prepare for the ACT. The best prep comes from practicing with ACT materials (red book) I will bet you will do quite well on the ACT as of now.

I got a 21 or 22 on the explore than like a 23 or 24 on the plan and it estimated me a 26-30 ACT

i got a 28 on the ACT. twice -.-

Do try the ACT. Those results will show if your explore score means anything.

Thanks for your help!
