<p>I just got my letter, it says that:</p>
<p>"You were selected from approximately 22,000 applicants for one of only 2,000 spaces in our freshman class."</p>
<p>If I'm doing my math right, that's a little more than 9%. Which is much lower than the 37% I heard they let in last year. Anyone know about this?</p>
<p>They accept a lot more than 2,000 students. 2,000 is the amount of students who are expected to matriculate in the fall.</p>
<p>Like he said, that's how many they're expecting to have actually attend. In a previous thread, based on relating the amount accepted last year compared to the 22,000 who applied this year, someone estimated that the acceptance rate was around 32%.</p>
