<p>I would echo the sentiment that it's definitely worthwhile to bring siblings out, if not for orientation, then Parent's Weekend as they too will be dealing with the initial separation and unique experience of having a brother or sister at a service academy. They will better understand why Mom or Dad appear "emotional" while the neighbors next door seem to be doing fine with their first-born off to college in August. As parents we were truly unprepared for the "roller coaster ride" many refer to, but now some 260 plus days later we have made a successful transition as a family, and have a cadet home for Spring break who enjoys life to the fullest.</p>
