Is the Chemistry SAT2 worth taking?

I was wondering just how important the Chemistry SAT2 is when you apply to colleges? Is it preferred over Biology for kids who want to go pre-med/health administration? Does it matter so much in the context of AP scores? Does it look bad if you haven't taken it? Is it required for certain programs? I guess this should be evaluated in the context of the Ivies and tier-1 schools like Rice, Duke, etc.

I have a solid SAT1 score (2330, one sitting) and Biology SAT2 (780), and am definitely retaking my Math SAT2 (740, hopefully to 800). I'm going to be taking the Chem AP (definitely getting a 5) and got a 5 in Bio last year -- I'm also taking a bunch (7) of other AP tests that I'm reasonably confident about --> not important to this question but just to give you a better picture of what an applicant like me has/might need.

I'm asking because right now the Chem SAT2 is what I'm most unsure about, and it's taking up a lot of my time prepping. I'd rather not take it if I'm not going to get 780-800, but does it really matter if it's like 750 or 740 even? If it's worse, should I just not take it at all?

And one last question - getting a higher Math SAT2 score takes precedence over the Chem SAT2, right?

I don’t think chemistry is too important. Anything above a 700+ is considered acceptable for ivies. If you feel like your doing this just for the scores I wouldn’t recommend taking this test, on the other hand if you are doing this for fun and satisfaction I would suggest taking this test. I think that the math sat2 is better than the chem sat2 because the curve is easier for the math sat2.
